I feel very lucky to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty near Wenlock Edge in Shropshire. There are new wild flowers to look forward to every day here throughout the spring.
This painting was inspired by the profusion of colour and freshness that the season brings. I always keep a sketch book and a few coloured pencils when walking on the Edge and take many photos so I can get creative on my return.
This piece is protected by two coats of artist’s quality varnish and corded on the back ready to hang.
